One's own experience and individual style will shape our 'writing with light'. With experience we become attuned as to how we need the light to perform for that particular scene, subject, mood and purpose. We develop a natural understanding of how or if the given light will suit our scene and subject. And of course, we use an array of mechanisms to compensate for undesirable light.

The Light with which we write is such an ultra-dynamic force, it would be cruelty to try to define concrete rules for working with it. We should always seek to understand the rules and evaluate suggestions or opinions, but ultimately we should allow our feelings, style and personal understanding of light to do the writing.

When it comes to Photography and especially one of the most dynamic elements in the Universe: Light, Never say always!
